PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT

We place great importance on effectively managing our operations to minimise the likelihood of adverse impact.

Implementation of proper waste management system

  • To decrease environmental impacts of manufacturing activities and prevent from possible accidents, company regularly gets the surrounding water, soil, air examined and ensures that fixed standards have been kept. 
  • On time repair services and restoration of cleaning facility to support continuous activity
  • Organized a competition among employees to facilitate waste disposal, and find solution to better the dump site and implemented the winning project.
  • Waste is disposed to city’s centralized landfill 2-3 times daily, and company open spaces are cleaned every Friday

 

Soil protection, building a green structure

  • Significant amount of investment are spent on the green spaces building projects. As part of this, we planted grass on the 4356.7 square meters of surrounding area, and planted 600 elm trees, 200 plantations, 85 dog-rose trees covering 385 square meters of area. Indoor plants and flowers were also placed in offices and corridors.
  • Planted 30 trees in outside of local “Children’s Palace”.

 

IMPLEMENTING SOCIAL CARE, RESPONSIBILITY

We make continuous effort to improve employee lives and factory working environment as light industry demands much physical strength. In addition, we try to make a positive contribution to all the communities in which we operate. We support local community activity and give charitable donations.

Education and knowledge

  • We work closely with the local Vocational Training Center to support vocational education and increase number of professional employees. In 2001, installed 30.000 USD worth of weaving and spinning systems at the center to provide practice facilities for the students. Company was distinguished as “Reliable partner” entity which supports the Vocational education by Millennium Challenge Fund and Mongolian Government.
  • Constant organization of management, technology training, professional training, advanced training, orientation, psychology, health trainings for employees.
  • Support our workers that have fruitfully worked for us for many years and constantly implement program of enrolling in new professional and profession upgrade trainings.

Social issues of our employees

  • We work to improve lives of employees, and are willing to show our support to those who help. Examples of our generous support include full gers, grant aids and compensations.
  • Every year we organize events dedicated to children, and hold receptions for former employees on retirement. 

 

Arts, Sports, and Social events

  • Group spring/fall sports contest and art festivals are successfully held every year.
  • Won first place and trophy in festival dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Erdenet City
  • “Erdenet Carpet” 30th Anniversary concert co-organized with professional enterprises was a success and received critical acclaim from workers and guests.
  • Received 3rd level “For Emergency” medal from emergency prevention drill organized by Orkhon Province’s Emergency Management Agency.
